Are you someone for whom that word strikes fear in your heart?!

Volunteers are an essential part of every single MoRun we organise. The fact is we can’t do it without you so have a think about feeling that fear and doing it anyway! We work with lots of happy volunteers but are always in need of more!

Did you know that volunteering makes a massive difference to you too? It can help make you happy by combatting isolation, you make new connections and increase self-confidence. Furthermore, if you are looking to break into events, we can write you a cracking reference to help you along the way.

Our volunteers have a great time on the day; as Bilal explains “Volunteering with MoRunning is an absolutely fantastic experience. The locations are always brilliant, the other members of the team are enthusiastic and joyful throughout the day and seeing so many runners show up for such a great cause makes it a great event to be part of. It's a brilliant way of giving back to the community and raising awareness for an important cause. I'd highly recommend volunteering with MoRunning - you won't regret it for a second!" 2015 first timer Alan adds, “The day was great, worked with a great bunch of volunteers and met new friends.”

We have between 30 and 40 people working on the event on the day and we have varied roles, from manning the bag drop station to checking the runners in, to helping out on the actual running course. Typically, it is an early start at around 7:30am, but the time whizzes by quickly and you have the satisfaction of being part of a very worthwhile event. All volunteers are given the chance to get a free entry to a future MoRun, as well as drinks and sweets on the day. In addition, we have launched a free prize draw just for our volunteers. Once all of the MoRuns are completed, we will put all volunteer names in a hat and the winner will receive a £100 Amazon voucher!

We partner with The Movember Foundation who focus on issues very close to our heart. Our MoRunners are doing important work to raise the profile of these issues and raise a heap of cash along the way. Part of your role will be to support them to do their best. On the day, our volunteers shout and whoop, they laugh and congratulate, all in the name of men’s health. We hope you will consider this opportunity and get in touch to sign up and help. We very much look forward to hearing from you. Send Sarah an email at and she will send you more information for MoRuns in your area.
