Remembrance Sunday
Delivering 24 MoRuns across the UK and Ireland inevitably means squeezing multiple runs in to every weekend throughout November, including Remembrance Sunday.
Delivering 24 MoRuns across the UK and Ireland inevitably means squeezing multiple runs in to every weekend throughout November, including Remembrance Sunday. What does this mean if you’ve signed up for one of our 10th November runs?
At MoRunning we have the utmost respect for our Armed Forces and ensure that marking Remembrance Sunday is an important part of our events which fall on that date.
Those running in our events in Peterborough, Swansea, Glasgow and Bristol will already be aware of the event timings, adjusted from our other events to allow us to celebrate and appreciate our serving military and veterans. Our Mini Mo race (1.5km run for children) will start at 10.30, allowing us to be finished with this by 10.50. This will be followed by a 2 minute silence at 11am commemorating the Armed Forces before our adults’ 5k and 10k races start at 11.05 and 11.15.
We are looking forward to seeing all our runners on 10th November, with our events allowing us to reflect on both Remembrance Sunday and the great work being carried out by the Movember Foundation to improve the future of men’s health. We look forward to you joining us in marking our respect on this special occasion.
